Haleakala National ParkThe summit of Haleakala National Park rises 10,023 feet above sea level. The crater is 3,000 feet deep, 7.5 miles long and 2.5 miles wide, a total of 22 miles in circumference. When at the top, you might think you are on the Moon and yet you will be subjected to the most beautiful sunrises in the world.
Hana - Seven Sacred PoolsSpend a full day viewing magnificent waterfalls, lush rain forests, Maui’s last lava flows, and places like the Seven Sacred Pools. Drive on Highway 31 along Haleakala’s rugged eastern coastline. Hana is a one of a kind tropical experience you will never forget.
Iao ValleyIao Valley State Park is a lush tropical location, featuring the Iao Needle which rises 2,250 feet high. Take easy hikes, take a dip in clear natural pools, and view exotic tropical plants. Driving directions: From Kahului, drive to Wailuku on Highway 32 and continue to the end, at the fork in the road take to right on Iao Valley Road.
La Perouse BayJust past Makena on Alanui Road is La Perouse Bay, a part of the Ahihi-Kina’u Natural Preserve. Experience ancient lava flows from the last volcanic eruption that meets the ocean.. Snorkeling is excellent in this area it’s reccommended doing so early in the day when the ocean is calm.
Maui Tropical PlantationNo trip to Maui is complete without a little time away from the city.  Maui Tropical Plantation’s 60-acre working plantation is the fun way to discover Hawaii’s rich agricultural history, complete with tasty free samples: Come for the tram ride, admission to the grounds is FREE.
