We were pleasantly surprised to come across the website for this unit. <br><br> Reserving was easy and questions for the owner/manager were quickly replied to via email. <br><br> We stayed in the resort area of Wailea for two days before our stay at the condo began, it was a welcome relief to arrive in Maalaea away from the crowds and the noise.  The surrounding area is perfect, with some shops/restaurants and no crowds.  Pacific Whale Foundation is also located nearby (5 minute walk,) they provide great whale watching and snorkeling excursions.  The condo is no more than a 10 minute walk away from a great beach that had at the most 20 other people on it at any time we were there.   <br><br> The condo itself was wonderful.  We never heard noise from any of the other units.  We were a bit concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but we quickly learned the area of Maui that the condo is located in is usually breezy, and the breeze blowing through the unit at night made it very comfortable.  Everything inside the unit is modern (appliances/fixtures/etc.)  Being able to watch the ocean from the upstairs loft is a great feature of the condo. <br><br> We will and already have recommended the condo to friends and family looking to visit Maui, and we will most definitely be back ourselves. <br><br> Thanks for a great experience, <br>   Fred and Johanna <br> <br><hr width=\"90%\" style=\"height: 1px\"><br>    <b>- February 17, 2010 -</b> <br><br> Aloha, Earl!<br> We just returned home today and want you to know how much we enjoyed the week at Ma'alaea Kai! It was so wonderful to sit on the lanai every morning and evening and watch the magnificent whales! The condo was beautiful and just as described! It was fabulous to have such a gorgeous \"home\" on the ocean! Thank you for allowing us to use it! <br>  The weather the week we were there was great! It was sunny every single day and no rain with the temps between 77 and 82! The cool breezes (actually wind gusts) at night made for enjoyable sleeping. <br>  We will definitely recommend your condo to anyone we know who plans on traveling to Maui! You'll have to tell me about the designer of the condo. I found the master suite very interesting.  Every where you sat/stood you enjoyed the view of either the West Maui Mountains or the ocean.  Even when I stood at the sink and moved the mirror over, I could see the mountains through the mirror!
